B. Smith, born Brandon Smith enjoyed music since birth. Listening to several different genres from hip hop to rock all the way to jazz! B. Smith started rapping in middle school, starting from a couple freestyles lines to full length songs. Just graduating from high school, B. Smith is set to come out with his 1st album entitled PiKtUrE PuRfEcT , naming it and spelling it completely wrong meaning that the world or anything in it does not have a “Perfect Picture” but somewhere down the line there are some imperfections!!!!..... Born to Pamela and Yuri Smith, B. Smith was always interested in music! Graduating from St. Scholastica Catholic Schools then for his high school years auditioned and made into Detroit School of Arts for music technology. At DSA many new doors was opened to him. State of the art technology the tools and equipment he needed to purse his love for music. His teacher Mr. White who was over the music tech department provided him with the needed guidance and constructive criticism he needed. While attending DSA he and some counterparts established a group called “Flo3”. The group made songs together made mixtapes and often performed as headliners to some of DSA’s public events. But as every great artist does In a group he saw the need to branch out into his own music and create a different sound and image for himself. B. Smith has always promoted individuality in himself and also encourages others to do the same. What makes B. Smith so different? He is not at all your typical rapper. He does not glorify drugs nor deface women in his music. The performers that influence him the most are Jay Z, Kanye West, Ludacris, and Lupe Fiasco … B.Smith hopes to be among the names he is most influenced by in the near future, starting with his debut album PiKtUrE PuRfEcT … Enjoy..
